the trade was great because it only cost Verdugo and Maeda.......Peterson was a separate trade altogether.
I too liked Peterson's enthusiasm, but weren't you the one who didn't like the swing for the fences or strikeout mentality of the Dodgers? That was Peterson in a nutshell.
Dodgers can easily replace a #3-4 starter like Maeda (who will be 32 years old) with Stripling, May, Woods, Goslin, Wood, Urias.....take your pick. Verdugo was good, but half a season was small sample and Betts is a top 5 player in baseball. Plus Dodgers get the leadoff hitter they desperately needed.......Peterson as leadoff was not good at all.
Plus Dodgers get a much needed right handed bat!!!
Best of all Dodgers keep their prospects once again: Ruiz, May, Lux, Downs, Gray, etc.
