We had tickets to the downhill. Had to take a chair up to a "recommended" viewing spot. It was right at a jump so you could not see the skier coming down and there was no public announcements as to who was on the course. So your sitting there and WHOSSS-then they are out of sight. However a couple sitting in the snow next to us were mixing some kind of alcohol beverage in plastic cups. We accepted their invitation to drink-several! After the event was over we all had to slide down the mountain on our butts totally under the influence. Never had so much fun in all my life. I have no idea which country or skier won the downhill at Calgary.
