From what I have seen from the trailers. They have a LOT of details right. The trailer alone tells me it's MILES N MILES N MILES ahead of Pearl Harbor. I think History buffs will have to swallow a LARGE grain of salt to deal with the over use of CGI. CGI use to recreate the carriers looks great. At least we won't see a Nimitz class carrier as the Akagi. My biggest beef with the CGI is Hollywood trying too hard to put too much in one frame. I saw what looked like half of Torpedo#8 being taken out in 2 seconds. It took close to 10 minutes for them to be downed. The movement of the planes is too Star Wars like. It IS what Hollyweird is all about though. On the bright side, it might capture the attention of future History buffs like "Midway" 1976 did with me when I was 9.
