I have not been to Black Canyon as yet...

My son visited there this summer and gave rave reviews.

I just haven't had time yet... every trip has been rushing there and then rushing home.

I'm surprised you know of Crested Butte. I have not skied there... my daughter, her husband, and my oldest grandson did and loved it. They must have at least a 'few' easier runs because my daughter is not an advanced skier. I'm like you, however... I was an advanced skier in my youth but those days are long gone. I'm perfectly content to slowly glide down the mountain without any challenge whatsoever.

Yes, the downtown area is fantastic... I had one of the best meals I've ever had in my life there... place called "Pita"-something, I forget... but it is fantastic.

We have an extended visit to that area scheduled for early next summer... and I hope to see as much of the area as I can.
