Phil Silvers

I kinda discovered him later in life , or got a new appreciation of him

sure , as a kid I knew who he was , well , from one thing was from the movie A Mad Mad Mad Mad World

but also growing up the the 70's , where there were dozens of celebrity variety shows on every week , and would often see Phil Silvers as a guest appearance , but to be honest , I didn't pay a whole lot of attention

and I even knew about Sgt Bilko TV show but had never seen it

it was actually several years later , and I mean several , when I rediscovered Phil Silvers and his quick talking humor , and have been in awe of him ever since

I have always wished I could master his quick talking wit , but I just don't have the gift

the Phil Silvers and Don Knotts scene from It's A Mad Mad Mad Mad World , has always been one of my favorites
