Was about to make my initial Dodger post this year and say precisely the same thing. Truth is-notwithstanding his numbers-he doesn't give you that same confidence he did a few years back. Not long ago (few years) I remember when he came in I was relaxed and thinking "Ok-two strikeouts and pop up or maybe three Ks and game over. Now I'm on the edge waiting for the HRs he gives up.
Of course they are way ahead in the standings but they are not a perfect team. They really are not a good defensive team in the infield. While Martin is aging he is still an average catcher but he sure can't hit. Kiki is their best defensive infielder but doesn't start.
These are the issues -if not taken care of by Friedman soon-they will become problems in the playoffs.
