The classic good vs. evil scenario. Not just ordinary evil, but luciferian evil. . . Lex Luther on steroids. There are many and I don't even remember the titles. But I'll know it when I see it.
The opening scene: Our antagonist performs an action so vile it sickens me. Let's say he slashes the throats of new born kittens. That's the hook that inextricably latches on, forcing me to watch the remainder of the movie, no matter how bad it is, for no other reason than to see his demise.
So even though I've seen the movie before and I know how it ends. I have to watch it again and again. . . for that one, brief moment when he falls victim to his self created inferno.
An obsession?
