I can't believe baseball season is upon us already... but I'm glad that it is!! The Cardinals' first regular season game is Mar 28 at Milwaukee. That's in just two weeks! The first home game is April 4. Opening day in St Louis is practically a holiday around here. It's very festive, fun, and regal all at the same time. Lots of Cardinals pride all over the city, and homage to their history, and 24 hour television coverage. The entrance into the stadium of the team and the Hall of Famers (i.e., Lou Brock, Whitey Herzog, Bob Gibson, Ozzie Smith, et al) in convertibles, and, of course, the magnificent Budweiser Clydesdales parading around the stadium is a sight to behold. I LOVE opening day!
