Both my grand children have been there several times. It really is a great summer experience for children and parents and grand parents as well. If the children are really young the parent gets (must) stay with them in the dorms and eat with them and attend many of the simulation liftoffs and landings. Far better than hanging around the malls for a summer.
My grandson met his first girl friend there but since it was a subsequent long range relationship it didn't survive. He's now going to ski camp on the glacier in Mt. Hood instead of Space Camp but my grand daughter still wants to go to Huntsville. When he was at Space Camp he won the total overall award for "the Right Stuff". These are our annual xmas gifts to them. Now we fly with our grand daughter from Sacramento to Nashville, rent a car and drive to Huntsville. While she's at the Space Academy for roughly a week we drive around the south to historical places, etc. Last summer we ended up on a racing farm in Kentucky where we saw and helped groom and car for some future great thoroughbreds.
It's a special time for us.
