Back in Sept, just before football started. The Van Zants went to my High School...Robert E Lee. Where their P.E. Teacher Leonard Skinner was the inspiration for the band's name. My Brother, who was 6 years older than me, saw them not long at all before the plane crash. He even had a LP of "Street Survivors" that was removed because it had flames around the band members, especially Steve Gaines (Who died in the crash) He bought that album a DAY..maybe two before the crash. When my Brother passed in May 2011, I looked for it but it was nowhere to be found. Ha!!! I DID find his ticket stub to KISS in Dec 1976....for SEVEN dollars (And he was 20 feet from the stage!)
