Ditto......................kinda sorta

although I don't think I had it as bad as you did ,

and I've never had food get stuck in my esophagus , so that might be something totally different

but I do get acid reflux , to the point where I believe it even gave me a ulcer at one time , maybe , kinda sorta

the acid reflux usually only really bothered me when I was lying down

but now I take Prilosec , or the walmart generic brand , for a few years now , which pretty much seems to have taken care of it , ulcer seems to be gone, and I rarely have any real signs from the acid reflux , I'm sure it's still there , but the Prilosec, seems to keep it in check

just once in a great while I might get a acid kick back in the middle of the night that will wake me up and leave a pretty nasty taste in my mouth and throat for a little while

P.S.

Chocolate always seems to aggravate it for me , so I stay away from chocolate
