I had a botox injection into my bladder (I know, right?) back in 2015 when they thought I had interstitial cystitis. The botox was supposed to help my bladder pain and incontinence. It does work with some (not all) IC patients, however, it didn't do a thing for me... probably because my diagnosis wasn't right to begin with. Seven months after I got the botox, I was diagnosed with bladder cancer. I wasn't that familiar with botox at the time. All I knew was that it was used to smooth out facial wrinkles. I had no idea that it was used to treat other medical conditions.
