Some years ago I rode my motorcycle to St. Louis for a game.... I crossed the mojave desert in the afternoon and when I got to Blythe I pulled into a Carls Jr. and used a garden hose to save my life.
On the way back home I had to cross on the same route... so I said "to hell with safety" and stripped off all my protective clothing down to a T-Shirt so I could survive the crossing. 25 miles into the crossing it snowed on me. I had to pull over and put every piece of clothing I had on and I still almost froze to death.
It has snowed at my home town once in my lifetime... and it was a blizzard. School was out for a week. Actually it has snowed here a few times where flakes were falling but nothing stuck to the ground.. melting as soon as it hit. Only that once did it stick.
