Dang, man..

We got granite countertops/undermount sink in the kitchen and the total was $2600.. I'm currently doing a "down to the studs" remodel on the master bath and need a hunk of granite for the counter - its gonna run about $500.. $600 with an undermount sink.. I ordered and have Versailles pattern Travertine for the flooring, which I'll install myself.. Total: $300.. I only need 70 sq foot and had to order 250sq feet, so I'll have plenty left over..

I always do all my own tiling - its easy and much cheaper.. you can get a wet saw at Lowes for $75.. I can't believe people charge $3-5 a sq foot to lay tile.. you can lay one sq foot of tile in exactly 5 seconds!

Stuff must be way more expensive in CA.. I'm sure it is... That's about the only advantage of living in Texas...
