My encounter took place in Vegas... I was there for the Ali vs Ron Lyle heavyweight championship fight. We went a week ahead of time to watch the training sessions... the place, as you would expect, was packed with 'stars'... Met Jim Brown, James Caan, dozens of others. So anyway....
I was standing in the cashier line right behind Jim Brown... I talked to him a little.. after Jim cashed in his chips I took my turn. When I finished I turned to leave and ran into, and I mean that literally, Wilt Chamberlain. I am 5' 6"..... Wilt was what... 9 foot 16? Pretty sure my nose hit his belly button. Thanks GOD I'm taller than 5'.
