What an amazing and unusual talent. No one like him before and not likely to come after. I saw an HBO (?) doc. on his life recently and he "suffered" from his bi-polar disease all his life. Of course when he was "up" that is what made him so weird and funny at the same time. But when he was "down"-well we never saw that and just assumed he was always funny and weird.
Being bi-polar is a dangerous condition and when you add alcohol, drugs, etc-it can be and often is deadly. Not a good way to try and come up from a "down".
And then if you add this very unusual disease-its almost like his suicide was really not that unexpected.
