Warrant and Cinderella, two has-been 80's bands, were playing my hometown and we bought tickets.. there was a $10 per ticket surcharge, which at the time I thought was ridiculous.. Well, Cinderella cancelled because the singer's throat was trashed, so they cancelled the whole tour.. I went to get my ticket refund and they kept the $10 per ticket surcharge, so they made $20 from me for nothing.. I told them that was ridiculous and they just smiled and said that's the way it was.. I then mentioned they could make an outstanding living selling tickets to fake events and just keeping the surcharge from the ticket sales when people came to get refunds from an event that never was real.. I haven't bought a ticket to a local event since then..
