I think that was fairly common..

back in the day - lip syncing on TV, that is.. I think most of that had to do with not being able to get a good sound or mix to broadcast, especially with a live audience going nuts.. I know lip syncing was pretty standard on The Midnight Special - seems like I read somewhere that Charlie Daniels was invited to do The Midnight Special during his 'Devil went down to Georgia' Heyday, but he refused cuz he said he would never lip sync..

I might hafta pick up an old BCR LP and check it out.. I really only am familiar with about 3 of their songs..
