I was surprised at how well he did and how much I liked him in the role of Kirk. But he’s not him. Didn’t ruin the movie for me or anything. All the actors were good IIRC but I felt like they were pretending to be Kirk, Spock, Bones etc. Wierd is a good way to put it.
