This is NOT a complaint.... it's an admission of ignorance. I LOVE the Olympics...
I can't tell one event from the other, sometimes. I swear I've seen the same things umpteen times and each time I think, "ok, replay", only to discover that no - it's another event that just 'looks' the same.
I have NO IDEA what is going on with the Figure skaters... is it for the Gold? Is this a warmup? Is this part 1 of an 8 part performance for the Gold?
I need one of those old TV Show applause signs to let me know when it's actually for 'real' and I can celebrate.
Also... I don't know which NBC channel is 'center stage'... I go back and forth so much that I don't know WHAT the majority of the USA, much less the world, is watching. According to what I'm seeing there is an amazing amount of "Curling" being shown... that's ok with me.. like I said, I'm not complaining. Very little of the luge, bobsleds, skeleton's... just 'hi-lights' and gone in a flash... a bathroom break at the wrong time and you miss it all. I'm probably on the wrong channel at the wrong time.
So I set up a system in my house... I'm in my bedroom frantically clicking between channels and my family is in the living room with instructions to call out to me quickly if certain events happen to come on.
Now perhaps I'm wrong... but didn't they used to cover nearly everything on one channel.... and today they can't do the same with a half dozen channels?
Yes, I know, this sounds like I'm complaining, vociferously... but in truth I readily admit I'm behind the times and TV Multi-Tasking is not an art I have mastered. - JamesJM
