there is a ESPN documentary on Katarina Witt , if you ever get a chance to watch it , I highly recommend it

on what it was like being a high profile Olympic Athlete behind the wall in East Germany during the height of the cold war , really , really interesting , and a little scary

on one hand she was a national hero , and on the other hand how a lot East Germans resented her and other athletes because they were treated so well while the average East German barely had food on their table

very interesting show if you get a chance to watch it
