I loved the whole South Korea segment, from the Casino fights to the car chase. Other than that, the movie was mediocre overalll. It really didn't feel like an MCU movie. The politics seemed to be the main objective of the movie, instead of focusing on the impact the film had on the overall MCU. I really didn't understand KillMongers motives other than he wanted to be King of Wakanda. Oh, Black Panthers costume was super cool, but the overall technology of Wakanda and the powers of Vibranium seemed far fetched. I wish the Russo Brothers would've directed this film. They did a fantastic job with Winter soldier and Civil War(Black Panther was introduced).
Oh well, I have Infinity War to look forward to now
Kind of like Antman. Complete stand-alone.
The politics bothers some people. I thought it was a natural and obvious storyline, like in The Winter Soldier, which was no less political (it was about NSA style surveillance).
Vibranium was also important in Age of Ultron, where it fueled the device Ultron made to raise that city into the sky. It is already established that it has unique properties. Which is why in the Avengers, Thor could hit Cap's shield and the result was a vibration that knocked trees down while Cap himself was not fazed holding the shield. Vibranium focuses and redirects energy.
