Lakers down 14 heading into the 4th. Lakers come back and tie.
14 seconds and Boston has the ball.....love when they interview Scott and he says Bird tells the Lakers
the play and he is getting the ball. Lakers freak, because Celtics have burned them so many times in the past hitting last second shots. Larry gets the ball and hits an amazing 3 from the corner.
Lakers get the ball with a few seconds left and Celtics oul Kareem. He hits one to pull within one. Misses second but as they fight for rebound, Boston knocks it out of bounds (call was questionable....but I'm fine with that after all those lucky Celtic shots throughout the years).
Lakers get the ball down by one. Almost no time left. Magic drives lane and hits baby hook-Lakers now up by one. Kareem wide open, but Magic wants to make up for the 84 finals and shoots.
Still...2 seconds on the clock and Lakers terrified as Boston has hit so many last second shots over the last 15 years to eliminate the Lakers and win world titles. Bird gets open again (despite everyone knowing he's taking the shot). Riley says the shot was straight, Magic says he was wide open......Bird misses.
Lakers win. Man, those were the days
