I've brought this up before. Yet another illustration of my curmedgeon'ness.
Allow me to say right up front that I don't 'hate' this, or frown on it... truth is - I like the fun they are having, envy it actually.
At the same time.. MY GOD IT'S ANNOYING.
Some teams are worse than others... last week in a HS Varisity Girl's softball first playoff game we went up against, I forget who, but they 'chanted', as all girl's softball teams do, but I think they set the record.... non-stop, not even to breathe, from warmups until the last out... and even after the last out, (they lost), they gathered on the field to continue... I suppose in preparation for next year.
I don't know how they keep from losing their voices for a week.
So this isn't a 'complaint' in that I don't have a complaint coming... it's their game, their right, and they're having the time of their lives.
It does mean, however, that some Bose noise cancelling headphones are in my near future. - JamesJM
