Engineer's from the county visited me in my home, also our local newspaper, and they told me, back in March, that to handle the snowmelt Pine Flat Reservoir would have to be filled, and emptied, 4 times. Since then they added a fifth time.
When the levee was repaired of the initial threat we were quite aware that the worst was yet to come... and now we enter that stage. It hit 100 degrees here yesterday, and will today again. It's supposed to cool off drastically by this weekend... which is good, but it merely delays the inevitable.
