I did, after that conversation, see "Walk The Line".... but that was it for Reese, for me.. last thing I saw her in. NOT because I'm boycotting her, not in the least... just hasn't happened.
Here's my 'curmudgeonly' contribution to this: I really don't see many great actors these days... I see great editing, brilliant directing occasionally, 'making' an actor good when they actually are not. I rarely, VERY rarely, see an actor today able to 'carry' a scene without enormous help from those who put the film together. Not even some of the 'superstars' of today.
It's become very specialized... much like sports. A Certain look, a certain 'voice', and you create the performance after it's filmed.. NOT as it's filmed by the actors themselves.
