Nice post James. Yep-the Stanford swimmer was great not only the swim but the award ceremony. And what an inspiration for African American children. No less in a sport where so many claimed African Americans would never be good enough to compete due to physical characteristics, etc. Truly inspiring. Then again she is clearly a bright girl by the way she speaks and the fact she's at Stanford.

As far as Phelps goes-I just hope and pray we don't experience another Lance Armstrong episode. He may and likely is just a weird cat that is supernatural in the water. No one else has ever been like that.

I felt really bad for Ryan Lochte. The poor guy has been racing Phelps since probably grammar school and this was clearly the last for him. Seems like a nice guy who has just come up short-sometimes by the smallest of times in all these games and other competitions with Phelps.
