He is the one who is young and coming off a very strong season in which he was a plus player vs both run and pass. Littleton is a bit flawed vs the run to be paid top money. Brock gets overpowered too much for my taste and the Rams can upgrade and maybe save money too.
And I will say a tag means at least they're not paying him long term which I would not like; I don't trust him with a big contract. Don't want them to tag him, but yeah it's better than the alternative of rolling the dice on what he'll do with a big paycheck.
