He's exceptional chasing and being free to react to the ball not to mention his plus coverage. A defense that runs a 4-3 and has a spot at WILL for him is probably the team who will pay him the most. If the Rams sign him at $12+ million per they'll be looking to dish him elsewhere within a year. Extremely unlikely IMO, where I hope the Rams are smarter than they were when they made a similar mistake with a lesser off ball backer in Ogletree.
The problem with Whit is that if you're going to go $11M for a short term rental why not go all in with a young FA OL addition who costs a little more, and a position that is well represented (OG most likely) in FA. This of course goes back to whether they feel they can get 'er done with Evans/Boom etc but still I think it's possible with a heavily balanced and run-dominant OL to make that work.
