I don't enjoy it. At all. I used to then I decided that if I were going to take this seriously, that I would have to take the emotion out of it. Emotion (or having favorites) can make you see what you want to see in the positional drills. If I already really like a guy like Marlon Davidson and I get emotionally invested in wanting to see him perform well, then there is a good possibility that that is what I will see (regardless of reality).
I don't watch college games with the sound on for the most part, because I don't want announcers influencing me for the same reason.
Now I still have my favorites, and I want to see them perform well, but I do my best to push that down and try and watch objectively. Mack Wilson was a guy I loved at ILBer last year and it took everything I had to see that he wasn't a 1st round level ILBer because thats where he started my season. For me, its counter-productive.
As far as Reynolds. I always thought his best position would be at RB. He was a 5'-11" 205 lb QB that ran for ridiculous numbers at Navy. He ran a 4.55ish, so thats a good RB 40 time. And I think he was drafted as a RB. But with his Navy commitment and switch to a new position, he was always behind the 8 ball and now he is getting a chance to really get to play and I think he can use this as a spring board to a decent NFL career as a smarter Tavon Austin that can also give you a strong ST contributer. a WR/RB 4 with ST upside.
