I'm not the biggest fan of Prescott but he's still a quality starter. Brady, Brees, Alex Smith, Philip Rivers, Andy Dalton, Jameis Winston...it's one strange year for available QB's. Maybe the league is seeing a slight devaluation of the position? The conversation pertaining to focusing your wealth or spreading it around seems to be coming to a head.
Value above replacement is at play and I wonder for the Cowboys what would be better? College QB's don't take years to develop anymore and quality veterans are attainable. Prescott isn't picking a good time for a power play. If I were the Cowboys I'd seriously consider letting him walk, signing/trading for Stafford/Smith/Dalton, etc. and using the leftover money to solidify a better "team".
