The new stadium opening for the 2020 season on the heels of a non-playoff season is going to pressurize expectations in-house. And that's on top of a head coach in McVay who undoubtedly has high expectations of his own not to mention the unit he coordinated being the biggest disappointment in 2019.
$36M cap hit for Jared Goff in 2020. $17M cap hit for Todd Gurley in 2020. That shows what an enormous investment ($53M total) tied up in an offensive backfield that was adversely affected by the inconsistencies of the offensive line.
A dominant OL has the potential to correct Goff's downturn as well as allow them to get more of their money's worth out of Gurley. They have some really good pieces up front, but need an addition I think to help get them over the hump. And wrt FA the best options are going to be at OG so I would expect them to be players there.
