Yes but in retrospect looks like a bad idea but to sit out preseason with them given they were working with two new guys and an iffy guard at best.
Sitting out has nothing to do with injuries.
Of the original OL that sat out in the pre-season, by the end of the Steelers game only 2 were even on the field. Whitworth and Blythe. And Blythe was out of position.
Playing them in the pre-season would not have helped with that.
