CANDLESTICK.....

My daughter Stacey and I went to the last game that the 49ers would play the Rams in Candlestick. We decided to tailgate and I took my old Mazda B3000 pick up with the camper shell and we loaded it up with the works! Table,shade, BBQ, good food & libation etc. We found a rare spot where there was a grassy area and set up there. We eventually met up with a High School friend and his step son who were to join us but arrived late. They had to park some distance away. We made our way to the game and found our seats. So far so good......After a awhile I left my seat to get a beer and was confronted by some young inebriated "fan" who started in on the "F....ng Rams". I noticed he had a SF Giants t-shirt on so I changed the subject to baseball and somehow walked away avoiding a bad scene.
Then I get back to our seats (our friends sat in a different area) and Stacey says she's about to say something to these 2 young girls sitting behind us all decked out in 49er garb including Pom Poms! they had been using the pom poms to annoy her by periodically brushing the back of her neck. Finally Stacey said something to them and they stopped and were playing innocent with a smile. We talked with them a bit later and it turned out that they were from Santa Maria (not far from us) and this was their first NFL game. We actually got along well after that.
The final incident took place back at the tailgate site where we hung out a bit after the game with our friends. There was no going anywhere because of the traffic. Eventually they headed back to their vehicle and we started to pack up. The spot where we were had traffic moving by us slowly. All of a sudden I hear an "F... y.." and look over to see four young males actually glaring at me with windows down the front sat passenger is actually flipping me off! I just to them "Really?" Then a 49er fan tailgating next to us walked over and stood next to me and stared back at these creeps as they slowly moved on. The fan was a big dude and I think that had an impact on what those idiots were thinking of doing.
These games should be fun for everyone! Needless to say we are not going back to their stadium! We got the Rams in our house!
