I remember Cowherd saying he didn’t think Mayfield was a franchise QB because his lack of leadership. He listed QB’s who were solid leaders, Brady, Luck, Wilson and even Goff were very aware how their position (Q was viewed by the player, coaches and public. Mayfield lacks this ability, he is a bit too hotheaded. He didn’t see Mayfield becoming a genuine top tier QB. He recognized his talent as a QB, but to a franchise QB u need to be a leader that everyone can get behind. Mayfield will the wrong people, players/coaches/FO.

Though he had some valid points. for me, Mayfield looks like the real deal on the field. As a rookie he made some sensational plays. But he does have foot in mouth disease. Will be interesting to watch.
