I remember just sitting back... watching, (reading), and glowing in your ability to counter their nonsense.
To be honest... it kind of, (a lot), makes me miss the days when those things were allowed. - JamesJM
Yeah I remember. "Rate the flamer." Like the Vikes fan who declared before the Vikes/Rams playoff game that gimmick offenses never last. He was rated low because he should have known that the Rams Coryell offense was anything but a gimmick.
My favorite Rams put-down came later in the season, and that was the idea that the Rams had not played anyone. In 99 Vikes fans were convinced they had the mandate of heaven and didn't get who these upstart pretenders were. This led to a great moment in the championship game. After the Rams put up 35 unanswered points in the 2nd half, the crowd--which as we all remember was as boistrous and loud as any Rams crowd ever--became an object of attention for the network. They kept scanning the crowd with long slow sweeps and making the 12th man one of the stars of the day. In the middle of that, they zoom in on a guy holding up a sign that said "we still haven't played anyone."
