that the Rams will have some very tough decisions to make in the next year
Robert Woods is one of my favorite Rams... I have been blown away by how hard this man works... and how tough he is on the field.
I think Robert Woods is going to have a monster season in year three of this offense
Woods is signed up through 2021. His cap hit is in the 7s then in 2021 is 9 M.
The 2nd contract market for WRs was much higher when Woods signed, but he did not get a full-fledged starting receiver's contract amount. I guess the market did not treat him like a starter (he was undervalued). This is probably an example of the Rams seeing something other teams did not (plus there's a chance RW wanted to be back in LA so he settled for less.)
Will being below market for his production cause a problem? That is, will he ask for more, something in keeping with his actual production, in comparison to other WRs?
If not (and who knows) then he may be the Rams greatest FA bargain of all time. Actually even if he does ask for more later on, that is if he asks that his contract be dumped and he get a new one, he still has been a bargain so far either way.
