True, but I think both Talib and Peters could leave in 2020 and it wouldn't cause CB to be a big need going into that draft. With Robey-Coleman and Long they would presumably have two of their top 3 CB spots in place. But if Peters wants to demand a $15M+/year contract I am letting him walk. I think through free agency or another trade they can acquire a quality starter for 50-60% of that cost. Then still maybe draft a CB high if the value presents itself.
I;m not sure he would "demand" that per se. It's more like he would
expect it. 15 M (give or take) is the going rate right now on 2nd contracts for starting CBs. If the Rams offer less it's a lowball and Peters would just sign somewhere else. Which may be what the Rams want for all I know.
