and your argument has finally persuaded me about QBs & 2nd contracts.
so, good on you for sticking to yer guns and fighting this fight and explaining ad nauseum your points for a QBs 2nd contract.
I have come to fully appreciate the side and points you have laid out.

So, in yer opinion...
do the Rams sign Goff now and save a few million or wait til next season and sign him for more money(cuz it's a year later)???
I wonder how they have their strategy aligned and with what other players they have in mind that they want to retain...and if they will do it THIS year or wait til next. I fully think the Rams will resign him and want him as their starter. Goff is thriving under McVay and is the
youngest SB QB...ever!! iirc
Seems like Goff will just keep getting better under McVay and truly be a OC on the field - which is what McVay has always wanted his QBs to be.
The Rams are in a very good position with a young talented QB in the fold already and really talented players around him on offense...and now building up defense too. I just wonder if Goff's extension is this year or next...and yes it will be for lotsa money - prolly highest paid or very close to it. BUt it won't matter cuz by next year goff will be 3rd or 4th in salary prolly!! As you always say, the going rate always wins out in the end...and a player will nearly always get his money from some team - preferably his own!!
