It is RARE RARE RARE for the great athlete/running QB to make it, or have any lasting impact.
I'm not saying Murray won't succeed. I'm saying the odds are against him.
Those legs get slow, quick, after he's been beat to crap. And the NFL still switches rules on the NFL QB that when he runs, he's a RB and can be treated liked one UNLESS he slides for protection.
Wilson is a rare bird. The closest thing going to him right now is Mahommes.
Vick was spectacular, but a tease. Goff has been in more Superbowls than Vick.
If you want a great show..... watch Vick. If you want to see a guy who wins Superbowls, watch Brady who can't run a lick.
But..... it never fails. Every year I hear how the QB position has changed. And nearly every year a drop back passer with limited mobility wins the Superbowl. And nearly every year some spectacular college athlete at QB is going to take the NFL by storm. Hardly every happens.
Betcha' McVay and Snead would avoid a guy like Murray.
