DP, really appreciate the detail your thoughts/opinions. I was reflecting back on one key to Noteboom's and Allen's development in getting reps during practicing when Whit and Sully rested during the week. With Boom starting at LG, do you envision the Rams bringing in another player like him to get the reps behind Whit this year? I mean, if Boom is starting, I can't see him taking Whit's practice snaps, yet they need to prepping someone as an active backup on game days. If you agree, who might be another candidate for the Rams to draft?
Andre Dillard is a LT prospect that I have seen 1st to 3rd round. It only takes one team, but his best chance to become a stud, is to sit one year behind a LT and get better technically and add NFL strength. He would be a perfect fit in LA, as he fits the ZBS, they have a Kromer to coach him up and he would sit behind Whit for at least a year. Unfortunately, the Rams would have to snag him in the 1st round.
As far as later round LT prospects:
Tytus Howard - Alabama State - as expected, he is raw, but has the tools and that is over half the battle. Needs a year or 2 in development
Bobby Evans - He's a day 3 LT/RT prospect that is very athletic for a tackle and just needs to be coached up on some sloppy technique. By far my favorite day 3 OT prospect right now.
