The term "restructure," strictly speaking, does not mean only "team makes player give back money." In fact most restructures do not work that way.
When it comes to players giving back money, that sometimes happens but not often enough to warrant this belief that any team can do it with any player any time they want. They're rare events.
MOSTLY, this "player gives back money" thing is a myth us fans buy into...in spite of the fact that it just rarely if ever happens. Basically it's amateur GM internet cap management and really not that much of a real thing.
