The Rams pass rush overall declined a lot this past year- and it was mainly on the edge. They had 37 sacks from players other than Donald in 2017 and just 20.5 in 2018. That's more than a sack per game. 6 sacks from edge rushers this year (including Fowler) vs. 23.5 last year. Wade's defense is predicated on consistent pass rush and other than Donald it really wasn't there. That
has to be addressed.
I would like to think Okoronkwo will be a contributor. But he's very much TBD. I like Ebukam but maybe he's not an every down guy- more of a rotational LB. He had a game for the ages vs KC but otherwise was pretty quiet. Fowler is worth bringing back but I would try to get him for one year before deciding to invest any long-term money in him.
To me edge rusher has to be
very much in play at #31.
