There have been some reports that it was Brees who decided to pass on first down not Paytons.
But on the mike-up video on ESPN you clearly hear Payton tell Brees "that we are not kicking a FG
here and leaving them 50 seconds" The correct play was to run three times and kick the FG,
But no I'm Sean Payton and I'm tired of hearing about this KID (SM) I'm scoring a td no matter what
so I can upstage this KID for going for a FG on 4th and goal from the 1.
The non call was deadly for the Saints for sure , but there is no sure thing that he would have
scored after the PI .or he would have run the ball like everyone expected he would after the PI.
What we do know for sure is he lost , and I enjoyed my gumbo.
