CJ may have played himself out of the rams price range. Plus I'm not sure Gurley would be excited about sharing the backfield.
I dont really get the fox love. He has made some plays mostly at de I think rather than olb but he doesnt appear to have the physical skills to excellent as a 3-4 olb.
I wonder what CJ will cost now. I think I'll take a look at RB salaries later today. But we need to keep him if it's reasonable.
IMO it doesn't matter if Gurley is excited about it or not. 'We not me' right? If Gurley can't get down with it that's selfish.
I agree on Fox. Besides the question mark on his fit at OLB, he's given us nothing and therefore doesn't deserve anywhere close to $2M. He's a player that can be replaced with the minimum.
I've looked at the RB market and my best guess is that we could retain CJ in the $4-5M neighborhood. Brown will cost roughly $2M if they give him an original round tender as an RFA.
So basically CJ will be double the cost but none star RBs are one of the lowest paid positions and a $2-3M difference isn't too bad. I'm in favor of trying to keep him at that price.
The guy is an absolute beast since his arrival... 422 rushing yards in his first three games with the Rams is crazy!!
I would love to be able to keep him and I'm sure we will try, but I can see a team throwing a bit more money than $4-5M at him this offseason.
