Rams personel gambles are glaring now.
Not addressing size when choosing receivers and corner backs, depth, experience and sharing the load at running back has been a problem.
Settling for unproven linebackers was a gamble.
Signing Suh and Peters instead of addressing existing deficiencies was a gamble that hasn’t paid off.
Using the franchise tag on Joyner was downright foolish after using the franchise on TJ only to watch him walk.
They have some issues but every team does.
Their receivers are fine and you don't need "size."
I agree that Gurley gets too many touches.
You can only do so much at one time...and converting 4/3 LBs into 3/4 LBs means they had to do things like trade for Fowler.
Peters has been good in a defense where Talib takes the role Peters wasn't suited for.
Joyner not playing well is a surprise. Same with Suh. They intended for both TJ and Joyner to walk...the tag is just a matter of covering the position with a 1-year. There was never any intention to sign either one.
And...this is one loss, plus a game in which the defense wasn't the problem.
