He has been around a long time and knows what these guys can do and what they cant. Seems to me that he invites teams to run - knowing that this just isn't that good a defense on the whole. That works great when your offense scores in 3 mins and hangs 34 a game up. Let the other team get two long drives chew up 15 mins of clock and score maybe 20 points. Doesn't work to well when the offense gets its hat handed to it. Guess he figures those will be the anomaly's.
Spielman I think it was talked about talking with Wade about the secondary. Wade said it took him a while to figure out how Peters should play. Tried him against the other team's top receiver when Talib was out. Turns out MPs game is to watch the qb and react.
The thing is...that was already known about MP.
I was going to post about it, hadn't gotten around to it.
But for Wade to say it took a while to figure out what Peters was great at isn't a good look for Wade or the Rams. The team should KNOW this BEFORE they trade for the guy.
And you're right, we (fans) already knew that. They definitely should have known.
You would think that they would watch tape of every game Peters has ever played in prior to sending out two 2nd round draft picks. I find this incomprehensible.
