Totally agree. I am not ever going to complain being 9-1 and one of the clear-cut top 3 teams in the NFL.
Their defense is not nearly what anyone thought they would be. But we'll see where things go the next six games and beyond. They are playing a much better slate of QBs than they did a year ago. They miss Talib greatly but I still believe yesterday is is a 14+ point win if not for the five personal fouls. They may need a couple personnel adjustments. And a gut check. They are not a bad unit but they are definitely mediocre.
Donald has been fabulous but, as perspective, last year he had 11 of the team's 48 sacks (23%). This year he has 12.5 of their 26 sacks (48%). The rest of the defense is averaging collectively only 1.3 sacks/game vs 2.3 a year ago. Big difference.
I agree that they may be somewhat tired and, for a team looking to make a deep playoff run, their bye coming up soon is good timing. In a perfect world they can then clinch home field in time to sit a bunch of guys in week 17, then stay home wildcard weekend and see what shakes out from there.
Also credit Seattle who is really probably one of the top 12 teams in the league. That was not the Cardinals or 49ers they were playing.
