Don't get me wrong, there are a ton of Raider fans in So Cal, but this false narrative is getting ridiculous.
Had this been a regular season game it would have been 70/30 Rams fans, BUT it being a preseason game AND the first game the Raiders have played in the coliseum since leaving two decades ago, these morons were paying well over face value to watch a glorified practice....
About two years before the race to LA began, this same paper ran a pole asking - which former pro sports team would you want to come back to LA?
The Rams ran away with that pole....wasn't even close.
The Bring Back the Rams Facebook page had over 70,000 followers....the Bring Back the Raiders Facebook page had 15,000 followers (btw the Chargers had about 800
)
Had the Rams still been floundering at below .500 with Fisher and the Raiders been a perennial playoff team, the story might be true these days.....but the Raiders have gone back to doing what they do best ( sucking) and the Rams are probably the most hyped team in the league right now..... and this town, like most towns is full of front runners.
The writer of this article is a bit myopic if he's looking at yesterday's game as some sort of barometer as to who's town this is.
