I am so out of the loop on MD bball... fill me in bro!!!
Fernando and Huerter both decided to test the NBA waters, but didn't sign with an agent, so they can come back. Justin Jackson signed with an agent, so he's gone.
From what I've heard, Fernando hasn't been that impressive so far at the Combine, but that may change. He's a surprise in the wrong direction. Expected to kill the drills, he either didn't do them yet or I'm reading the wrong stuff. But Huerter showed a lot a quicks, good agility, and that 38 vert, which is a surprise. He likely earned himself a late First Round pick, but who knows?
I was hoping both players would come back . . . but if I had to guess, Huerter leaves, Fernando comes back for his sophomore year, and Jackson is drafted in Round Two. Before the Combine, some folks were saying Fernando could be a very early lottery pick in 2019. It all depends upon the upcoming season, of course. But he can be a beast.
(I'd love to see my Lakers pick Huerter)
Not so sure anymore about Turgeon as the coach. Might be time for a change.
Hope all is well --
